Gravenhurst, Port Carling and Bracebridge have all enjoyed celebrating winter in Muskoka since our last Marketwatch. Bracebridge closes the main drag, trucks in snow and creates a huge toboggan run right down through the centre of town. Fun! In their own ways other Muskoka communities aren’t outdone either. Some less common animals often make themselves more obvious. In the past week, in Bala, one of Canada’s most beautiful raptors has made itself known in a less than appreciated way. A great snowy owl has taken to dive bombing passers by, occasionally striking the backs of heads. Best to keep an eye skyward if walking in Bala!
