Today’s a big day in Port. The Biennial Antique Boat Show is centered around the locks. The weather could not be nicer. If you’re any where near the Hub of the Lakes today, it’s worth dropping by and seeing the floating armada of fine craftsmanship. My first trip to Port Carling was 60 years ago and, amazing to say, I can remember it. Light rain, standing by the locks and seeing two of the Muskoka steam ships waiting their turn to enter and go south into Lake Muskoka. Today, my memory came alive crossing the drawbridge and looking north I saw what my memory has held for more than half a century. Speechless!
