September brings the Fall Studio Tour to Muskoka. We celebrate artists and artisans, people of creativity and talent who live and create here. Quite special to have so many gifted people so close. The Tour, which takes place in Spring and Fall is a real eye opener and definitely worth doing.

September also brings us Spinning Reels. Some people proudly call it BIFF. If Toronto can have TIFF, why can’t Bracebridge have its own version? Every other Monday from September to May at the Norwood Theatre, independent and small films are shown. It’s a wonderful evening out. September also spawns hurricanes. A fair number of people who are cottagers also snowbird. We know folks here who have places in Texas as well as others who call Florida their winter home. The unknown aspect of hurricane impact seems to be hardest. The distance coupled with not knowing and fearing the worst is hard. We certainly wish them well.
