Although we’ve been quiet for a while, Muskoka, Haliburton and Parry Sound are still here! Trees are budding, spring flowers have been blooming in gardens and yesterday we saw dogtooth violets in the bush. It won’t be long before was see a carpet of trilliums!
This year ice went out early, by about a week or more. Judging flow over the falls in Bracebridge we’ve passed high water and are easing down to normal flow. Perhaps it’s a sign COVID is on the wane. Back to normal …now there’s a thought! We’ve not been immune to the virus either. Numbers here are low, but then so is the population. Living in this part of the world implies distance… distance to the store, distance to the next town, are part of everyday.
In real estate we’re keeping our distance too. Work is happening online with video. We go to properties and connect by an app and do live work to ‘show’ property. It’s only when the buyer is serious that we have a real showing. There are protocols. A declaration to make and masks and gloves to don. We’re careful and respectful.
