The calendar is pretty precise. We have equinoxes in spring and fall… actually those events are considered to be the beginning of the season. Vernal and Autumnal equinox is how they are known. Likewise, the longest and shortest days are considered to be the beginning of their seasons.

We’re a little less than a month away from December 21, the shortest day (and beginning of winter⛄). Tell that to the ❄️Polar Vortex!
