Last Saturday the boys and their boats put on their show in Port Carling with the Muskoka Lakes Association biennial Antique Boat Show. The sight was one to behold. Ditchburn, Duke, Minett Shields, SeaBird, Greavette were all there as well as many others. Fine craftsmanship, beautiful lines, wonderful finishes with sounds to match. The burble of inboards is soothing and exciting at the same time. Hearing a 12 cylinder open up makes adrenalin rush and tingle. A special day!
This coming weekend Gravenhurst Wharf has the Dockside Festival of the Arts. Definitely a different kind of art than mahogany boats. Inspiring just the same. There’s something for the whole family and unlike the boats, you’ll be able to take some delightful work home.
Also out of Gravenhurst on Saturday, Wenonah II is making itself over to princesses of all ages with its Princess Cruise. If there’s a princess in your family or an Elsa fan, this very well could be the place to be.
