Our phones have been ringing, buzzers buzzing and texts pinging. It’s been a busy week week for all realtors serving Muskoka, Haliburton and Parry Sound. In our own case we have a made a number of sales and have some new listings.
The weather is warmer, the leaves are out, water levels are close to normal and it’s feeling like dock time. I’m sure if there were a study linking dock time with health and longevity there would be a positive correlation. Dock time is decompression time, it’s the opportunity to think about nothing and everything at the same time. Lapping water seems to bring on Alpha waves of reflection and relaxation. Dock time is important. It gives us that boost to connect with nature in a very laid back way.
Hikes, walks and climbs have their important place, as do boarding, skiing and hammocks. But whether you’re watching a far off loon, the reflection of a moon rise or the burning glow of sunset, dock time is a little bit of heaven on earth.
This week the dock time team scored big. Maybe not like the Raptors getting into the final, but big nevertheless. 20 waterfront properties were sold conditionally. Half of them had been on the market for less than 20 days, 3 of them for less than 5.
